Involvement of Parents of the Residents

The degree of interaction between residents and parents varies greatly based on the quality of the relationships, distance from the Home and advice of the Home staff. The financial interaction and contribution of parents can vary.

Legal contracts are important, i.e., to clarify financial, liability, authority, and other relationships with parents.

Parents rarely serve on the Board of Directors of the Group Home so their decisions are not directed toward favoritism to their own child.
